Information we collect
- Account: name, email, and photo from Google—or Apple when enabled—sign-in.
- Usage: reading progress, goals, streaks, bookmarks, dhikr counts, and hasanat.
- Device: an app-generated device ID to keep a single active session.
- Location: used on-device for prayer times and Qibla; it is not sold.
- Billing: subscription status through Google Play and RevenueCat. We do not store your full payment-card details.
How we use information
We use your data to operate Deen Path, sync progress across devices, run community features you choose—such as friends, invite codes, and leaderboards—send prayer or reading reminders you enable, and provide support.
Google account data
When you choose Google Sign-In, Deen Path accesses your name, email address, and profile photo from your Google account. We use this data only to create and secure your Deen Path account, display your profile, and sync your progress across devices.
Your Google profile data is stored with your Deen Path account in Firebase. It is not sold, used for advertising, or shared with third parties except the service providers needed to operate the app, as described below. You can remove the data we control by deleting your account in the app.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share data with service providers needed to run the app—including Firebase and Google, RevenueCat, and Google Play—under their terms. Community boards only show what is needed for those features.
Retention and deletion
You can delete your account in More → Delete account. That removes your Firebase Authentication user, associated Firestore profile data we control—including your invite-code mapping—and bookmarks. Store subscription history may remain with Google Play as required by the store.
Children
Deen Path is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised policy. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do.
